Calc4Now was created to solve a simple problem: people need reliable calculation tools for their daily decisions, but most solutions are either too expensive, too complex, or difficult to find.

Launched in 2025, what started as a small personal project has quickly grown into a comprehensive collection of free calculators. The goal was simple: make useful calculation tools accessible to anyone who needs them, without barriers.

Today, Calc4Now offers over 53 calculators in 5 languages, covering everything from financial planning and insurance to health metrics and everyday calculations. The site continues to grow based on user feedback and needs.

Editorial standards

How we decide what goes on a calculator page, and what we will not publish

Every formula is named and sourced

Each finance, health and insurance calculator shows the method it uses, the arithmetic in full, and a citation to the standard or published paper it comes from. If you cannot check our working, we have not finished the page.

Limitations are stated, not buried

Every method has a boundary. BMI cannot tell muscle from fat; an insurance estimate is not an underwriting decision; a stock calculator that ignores dividends understates total return. We put those limits next to the result rather than in a footnote.

No invented signals

We do not publish star ratings, review counts or usage figures that we have not genuinely collected. If a number appears on this site, it came from somewhere real or it does not appear at all.

No claims we cannot back

Calc4Now is built and maintained by an independent developer. We do not describe ourselves as a team of licensed advisers, doctors or actuaries, because we are not one. What we offer is transparent arithmetic and honest sourcing — for advice about your situation, see a qualified professional.

How we validate our formulas

What actually happens before a calculator goes live

Start from the published standard. We implement the formula as it is defined in its source — Mifflin-St Jeor for resting metabolic rate, the U.S. Navy circumference method for body fat, the standard annuity payment formula for amortizing loans — rather than reproducing another website.
Check the calculation against worked examples. New calculators are tested against examples published with the original standard, and against reference implementations where an authoritative one exists, until the outputs agree.
Keep the maths in one place. Each calculator has a single calculation engine used by every version of the page, so a fix applies everywhere at once and no two language versions can drift apart.
Date anything that goes stale. Tax rates, statutory figures and reference tables carry the date they were last verified, shown on the calculator itself, so you can judge whether a number is current before you use it.
Fix reported errors and say so. If you report a discrepancy we check it against the source and correct it. We would rather change a number than defend it.
